wow….it has been a busy summer. I just finished up five classes toward my degree, played for a senator, wrote some new material ,and got a chance to see one of the best bands in the world play. I am currently retooling the band ( AGAIN) and looking forward to playing some music soon.  NO word on the completion date of the cd but stay posted and keep us in your thoughts.  Be sure to check out the USTREAM link and follow us for chance to catch a live show. So….we finished a really long day on saturday and everyone was great. The session started at 9am and lasted until around 5.  Dr. James Donnelly from Sounds Good Audio was cooler than cool to work with, and did a great job of keeping me reeled in. I have exams next week and will begin tracking the guitar work soon. As I said before , we will have 5 songs on the EP and a bonus track as well. Stay Tuned…

I have been writing music for a long time. I have been reading about those who write music and listening to the music they write longer than I have been writing music.  I had a discussion with an English Professor today about the generation we came from and the one we live in. We both agreed, its tough to stand out and tiring to make a difference these days. The 60’s were young. The 70’s were hot. The 80’s were, in my opinion, great for film. The 90’s seemed to be the beginning of the end.  I’m not sure if it’s safe to say any more than my opinion but, because of the internet and the fact that we pay our electric bill I can do so. What do we have these days to hold on to? What sound  do we as consumers or a nation and a generation have to define us? The death of the great, and I mean this with the utmost sincerity, Michael Jackson, or  on the completely opposite end of the galaxy, Adam Lambert and American Idol???  American Idol??? ‘cmon man! Star search and  Solid Gold . I think it is safe to say that not too many other countries around the world idolize anything about America .  So, with that being said  I will be adding another piece of the puzzle  beginning May 8th. I have a great group of people around me who believe in the music I am writing, and as far as I am concerned…that is far enough for me. I wish I had the money to do more, share more, give more, but until then I shall share my sounds. Peace!

….for all of your encouragement…and your time. I appreciate those local who take their time to come out to a show and  those will do so in the future. This year is a year of communication. I read today that my family is more important than my doubts. A man was sitting in my living room sharing his heart with me. I heard him say…” I have done allot of bad things to allot of good people”. I immediately began to relate. What if I were in a room  with all of those people at the same time. Sometimes I  see me in that crowded room wanting to stone me, because I have a hard time forgiving myself. The truth is those people are living their lives each day as I choose to live mine. Communication seems to be the word for the year. I have heard that word used and deep fried so many times its certainly not funny. “Manipucation” ahhhh what a word….I have to pack for a road trip but we will have more on this topic of communication soon!!!

…we had a great show on Sunday. Bull and Bones in Blacksburg Va. turned out to be a 10,000 sq ‘ monster. Plasmas everywhere. Needless to say I had to step to the bathroom and  think it through during load out because I am walking in the door with a cellist and Eminem is bupmin’ on the overhead. The sets turned out great. Joe and Angie Caldwell from Modern Day , went the distance with still and video imagery…and I must say are true pros at their craft.
